Fall Pieces That Earn Their Place

Fall Pieces That Earn Their Place

Fall pieces have always felt the most timeless to me. There’s just something about this season—the layers, the textures, the way outerwear instantly pulls an outfit together. These are the pieces that earn their place in your closet year after year.

This season, I’ve been narrowing down some of my holy grails in the shop. Let me be clear—these aren’t trend-chasing styles. They’re staples with a fashion-forward edge, pieces that feel elevated but still easy to wear. The kind of investments that carry you through endless outfit combos without ever feeling overdone.

If something interests you, I have all products linked if you click the pictures or titles.

The Hobo Bag

Picking out bags this season has been so fun—and you guys have been loving them too. I’ve noticed that bigger, slouchy bags are officially back, while the micro bags are slowly losing their moment. Personally, I’m here for it. There’s something so effortlessly chic about a hobo bag. I brought in a few of my favorites this season, including one I use every single day.

The Black Belt

A good-quality black belt is one of those underrated essentials that completely transforms an outfit. It’s a subtle statement, but it instantly makes everything look more put-together. Once you find the right one, it’s not something you’ll replace anytime soon. I sourced a really good leather belt this season—beautiful quality, perfect price point, and something that will live in your closet for years. And if you already have a black belt, I also brought in a brown suede version that feels equally timeless, just with a softer vibe.

Dark Denim

Everyone needs a solid pair of dark denim. It has that slightly dressier edge that a lighter wash doesn’t quite give. I always associate denim shades with the seasons—my lighter washes come back out in spring, so right now I’m all about those deeper tones. It’s just one of those classic transitions that always feels right this time of year.

The Ballet Flat

Say what you want about ballet flats—but I’m into them. I’m not overly girly when it comes to getting dressed, and I used to think ballet flats were too sweet for me. But I finally gave them a try and honestly? No regrets. They’re a good alternative to sneakers (which I wear way too often). Sometimes you just need something different. The pair I brought in this season is simple and black with subtle stud detailing on the strap—classic with a little edge.

The Leather Jacket

Preferably black, always. It’s one of those pieces that just defines an outfit—edgy, classic, endlessly versatile, and somehow better with age. The one I brought in this year has been selling out since August. It’s got that worn-in feel (without actually being worn), cool zipper detailing, and that perfect softness you want in leather. It’s one of those forever pieces you’ll never want to part with.

The Barrel Leg Denim

My current obsession. It’s a modern alternative to traditional denim—structured but relaxed, flattering on so many body types. I’ll admit, I was against it at first. Mostly because when Free People first started pushing the style, it felt way too boho for me. But once I actually tried a pair, I was hooked.

They’re comfortable in a way high-waisted jeans just aren’t anymore. The relaxed fit through the hips makes it so much easier to move (and sit) without feeling squeezed in. The shape still looks polished and intentional, and I love that the cropped length shows off your shoes—especially a good flat or ballet style.

This is how I styled mine this week going into work.
